Michelle and her team turned our lightly updated 1960’s house into a stunning space that is functional, timeless and welcoming. A place where we invite friends for a casual drink around the island. A place where we play with our dog. A place where we relax and listen to music while enjoying a cozy fireplace. Home.

 

We started with the kitchen redesign. For each phase, Michelle and Ariela shared multiple design options, allowing us to choose amongst them or suggest modifications we’d like. At first, we had a lot of questions about proportions and surfaces which they guided us through. Each of their options “just made sense”, and we quickly learned to trust their instincts (even when it nudged us outside our mall furniture store comfort zone). The end result is just what we had hoped for but could never have articulated or come up with on our own.

 

Once the kitchen was in place, Carly styled and furnished our living room. We previously had individual furniture pieces that we liked, but they just didn't work together and were the wrong scale for the room. With Carly’s eye for color, texture and usability, she came up with a perfect layout, and helped us select new furniture, fabrics and lighting. She transformed a rather uninviting room into a light, airy spot where we spend our evenings to unwind. It’s really amazing what a skilled designer can do.
